Perhaps you strive to live responsibly in a home that is environmentally sustainable. Like us, your home maintenance practices include using products that are bio-friendly.
Imagine, unclogging a drain without the use of products that have harsh chemicals? Products like Drano have chemicals, which don’t do the environment any favors as they swirl down your drain and out your pipe.
Drano will unclog a drain, but unlike Bio-Clean, it can’t be used on all the drains in your home. For instance, it’s NOT recommended that Drano be used in toilets. Bio-Clean is proven to be environmentally responsible and is safe for your home.
The product is free of acids, lye, solvents, perfumes and poisonous substances. There is no heat associated with the active ingredient: no fumes, or boiling, and yet the product is completely effective. Pour Bio-Clean into the drain and within an hour the bacteria goes to work, attacking organic wastes; grease, hair, food particles, paper, cotton & sewage.
How it Works in an Environmental Home
Bio-Clean works differently than other products. It actually breaks down waste particles into water, carbon dioxide and mineral ash, which are then flushed out through your home’s waste system.
Bio-Clean’s live bacteria eats away gunk in pipes. Because it tackles the food source, the enzymes and bacteria will even eat away gunk on the walls of pipes that chemicals leave behind. Used regularly, the product eliminates emergencies to septic systems or clogged toilets, and drains.
One note – do not expect Bio-Clean to destroy tree roots that invade the septic tank. It will only eat away at roots that are completely dead. However, Bio-Clean does eliminate the waste on which tree roots gather nutrition.
Bio-Clean – How to Use
For best results, mix Bio-Clean with warm, but not hot water. Apply the product to the problem drain at a time that it won’t be used. It needs to be inplace for six to eight hours – so overnight is perfect.
This gives the bacteria time to work against the waste. Otherwise, the working bacteria is flushed out with any water going through. For routine maintenance of pipes and drains, periodically administer Bio-Clean.
Bio-Clean work best on clogs that are biodegradable, not plastic or metal bits that fell in the drain. If the clog is caused by gunk trapped several feet down in the pipe, then Bio-Clean takes longer, or even days to eat through what’s causing the stoppage.
In these cases, the company recommends using a snake (mechanical cable) to help restore drainage. Following the snaking process, add Bio-Clean to further eliminate buildup along the walls of the pipe.
Most people using Bio-Clean will notice improvement within one or two days. However, results can take between one and three weeks. Bio-Clean is available in a 2-pound container, which will treat 1,000 gallons.
